Here at WCTP, we offer a comprehensive ABS / EBS diagnostic and repair service for trailers. Based out of our workshop near Ennis, Co. Clare, our trained team uses state-of-the-art diagnostic devices, specialist tools, and the latest EBS analytical software. We aim for precise clearance, exact activation, and low lining wear throughout the entire brake-lining cycle, with control times of just a few milliseconds. Shorter activation times and shorter braking distances are our goal.

After we diagnose a fault in an EBS unit, we repair it in our workshop. Be it a simple fault (e.g. resetting a sensor error), performance-optimizing pneumatic disc brakes, or a full scale refit of the EBS / ABS system, we’ll get your trailer back on the road with minimal delay. In hazardous situations, trucks and any trailers being towed need to react rapidly. Trailers and semi-trailers carry an immense amount of weight, and drivers must be able to brake this load in a controlled way, especially in acute situations. A complete electronic braking control unit consists of multiple systems:

Knorr-Bremse

We have extensive experience with Knorr-Bremse’s legacy electronic braking systems for trailers. We also repair iTEBS X, Knorr-Bremse’s latest generation of their smart electronic trailer braking system. The iTEBS X system combines the electronic control unit, sensor technology, pneumatic brake control unit, and braking functions such as ABS and load-dependent braking, into a single, compact assembly. It also simplifies the connectivity of the individual braking system components, including the parking and manoeuvring valve and air suspension.

iTEBS X also includes a new, cloud-based configuration platform that supports a future-proof diagnostics strategy.

Haldex

Haldex’s EBS is a sophisticated solution engineered to elevate safety, control and efficiency for trailers, with exceptional system management. We ensure that every braking event with a Haldex EBS becomes a well-orchestrated performance that enhances both safety and the trailer’s longevity. Wabco

We maintain and repair Wabco’s trailer EBS. It controls the brake and suspension functions, analysing data and translating it into more than 40 functions. As standard, we replace EBS cables, analyse the diagnostics, optimise stopping distance, improve brake stability, and enhance trailer efficiency and safety.

Wabco’s EBS also can connect the trailer to the driver, fleet, and cargo owner.
